For all of you who are new to using reed diffusers, we want to make this blog your guide to using a reed diffuser.

How to use Reed Diffusers

Let us start with how you can use reed diffuers.

Our reed diffusers come with reed sticks inside the package. You need to put these sticks in the oil to ensure that the sticks absorb the oil.
After about thirty minutes, flip the sticks to ensure that the dry end is now in the oil. This step will ensure that the reed sticks absorb oil to give out proper fragrance.
Let your reed diffuser permeate your space. The reed sticks will keep giving out fragrance and you can flip the reed sticks twice every week to ensure proper distribution of fragrance.

Keep repeating the steps to freshen the fragrance.

FAQ for reed diffusers

Can I dilute oil with water?

No. Oil and water cannot be mixed. Pouring oil into the water will spoil the mixture and the reeds will ot be able to absorb the oil. By mixing water, the sticks will get clogged and the fragrance will not be dissipated properly.

How often should I flip the reed sticks?

You should flip the reed sticks twice a week to ensure that there is continuous fragrance. This ensures that reed sticks are freshened and oil is absorbed properly by reed sticks.

Where should I put my reed diffuser?

This is one of the most commonly asked questions. The diffuser needs to be placed near a place where there is airflow such as near a window or a vent. This will help the fragrance to spread quickly and evenly.

Please remember-

Diffuser oils are flammable and must be kept away from open flame. These oils cannot be ingested and should be kept away from the reach of children and pets. The essential oil in the diffuser might stain wooden surfaces, therefore we recommend that you don’t place them on wooden surfaces.

The world of astrology and horoscope is fun, exciting yet complex. Everyone wants to dip into it- the predictions, the future and give some name to the sudden happenings in their life! Whether you believe in the whole Vedic astrology or not, one thing that everyone does read in the morning newspaper is their daily prediction as per their zodiac signs. These signs are one of the most common ways to identify the characteristics and personality of an individual. It’s almost amusing how people of the same sun sign have some stark similarities which completely puzzles the human brain. Today we are going to dive into the world of zodiac signs or sun signs and see how they relate to some of our candle fragrances.

As you know, we have twelve zodiac signs – Aries ♈️, Taurus ♉️, Gemini ♊️, Cancer ♋️, Leo ♌️, Virgo ♍️, Libra ♎️, Scorpio ♏️, Sagittarius ♐️, Capricorn ♑️, Aquarius ♒️ and Pisces ♓️

All of these have their characteristics and styles and we are going to relate some of our candles fragrance with each zodiac sign.

Aries ♈️( March 21 to April 19)

Aries are usually fearless and very strong. They can be seen as quite headstrong and argumentative at times. But, they are the most passionate of all Zodiac Signs about things. An Aries loves new experiences. We associate La Canela with Aries. La Canela is our cinnamon-scented candle. It is a sweet and warm fragrance but with a tenacious spicy note. It represents the Aries personality perfectly.

Taurus ♉️( April 20 to May 20 )

Taurus is a loyal and reliable zodiac sign. They are down to earth and are great at consistency and reliability. They are meticulous and polite. Taurus is represented by the bull and are hence quite dedicated. We associate our Good Vibes candle with Taurus. It is a lemongrass fragrance and also works well as an aromatherapy candle which relieves stress and anxiety.

Gemini ♊️( May 21 to June 21 )

Gemini people are extremely curious and keep on juggling many things at a time. They make friends easily and are quick-witted. They are flexible and outgoing. We think Geminis most closely resemble the characteristics of Peach Miami. This fragrance has been curated using peaches and just the right hint of mangoes for the perfect summer vibes. This is such a playful summer fragrance that perfectly complements the personality of Geminis.

Cancer ♋️ ( June 22 to July 22 )

Cancerians are extremely emotional and hypersensitive people. They are extremely fond of their loved ones and would go to any lengths for the one they love. They are very emotional and always think from their hearts. We equate cancers with our Marmalade candles. This scent is associated with happiness and delight and is perfect with its tangy orange fragrance.

Leo ♌️ ( July 23 to August 22 )

Leo’s are usually warm-hearted. They love to have fun and they just want to enjoy life one day at a time. They have a very steady focus and are uncompromising in their loyalty. We have selected a chai candle for Leos. Our Attack on Titan Anime Candle is based on the aroma of Chai and it is an absolute comfort fragrance. Chai is a staple in Indian families. It creates everlasting bonds just like Leos.

Virgo ♍️ ( August 23 to September 22 )

Libra ♎️ ( September 23 to October 23 )

Scorpio ♏️(October 23 to November 21 )

Scorpios being one of the water zodiac signs are usually seen as having extreme emotional depth and intensity. They can be extremely sarcastic at times. A Scorpio is a great secret keeper. Sagittarius ♐️( November 22 to December 22 )

Pisces ♓️( February 18 to March 20 )

If any of these senses are taken away from us, we would not be able to enjoy our lives to the full extent. This blog will help you understand the multiple ways you can bring fragrances to your life.

The sense of smell is extremely important. Smell has always been known to be the make or break in any scenario. It’s one thing that can set your mood right away or just make you lose interest in the entire place. Be it a person, place or food, if it doesn’t smell right, you wouldn’t want anything to do with it !

Let’s talk about how we can make our place, or as a matter of fact any place, smell amazing. There are multiple ways available today which can be used to add fragrance to any room. We have a variety of stuff like scented candles, perfume air pockets, gel fragrance boxes, diffusers, wax melts…..the list is never ending. But how do we choose which of these is the best? How do we know what’s right for us ?

Let’s go over a few of the options and discuss which type suits different scenarios.

What option suits you best?

Diffusers

Let’s start with the basics. A really cool option which is in trend right now is using diffusers. Diffusers are used to disperse the fragrance in the whole area but in a controlled manner. It’s a slow and rather soothing process. Diffusers are of different types. They can be electric or the natural kind ( non-electric). They are very much in fashion and look really cool when placed in an aesthetic environment.

An electric diffuser is heated using electricity and then it disperses the fragrance. On the other hand, the non-electric diffuser, which is a more natural and primitive method, uses the heat of a candle or flame to disperse the fragrance into the surroundings. Both are extremely easy to use, great to look at and are extremely effective ways to introduce fragrance to any place.

What do I use in the diffuser tray?

Now the major decision comes in! What to put inside the diffuser tray ?

We have multiple options here. The most common and widely used way is to put a few drops of fragranced essential oil and mix it with water. This is put into the diffuser tray and as the tray warms up this water infused with essential oil starts to evaporate into the air, thereby making the fragrance travel to every corner of the room.

This is a great method but we have personally experienced a little issue in this method. When we use the diffuser, be it the electric or the non-electric one, the problem arises when the water completely evaporates but we don’t turn off the diffuser. Once the whole water evaporates, the diffuser tray starts to burn and gives a pungent smell which is quite unpleasant and also tampers with the diffuser tray and makes it unfit for further usage. The way to not let this happen is to take constant care and either refill the empty tray with more oil and water or remember to keep watch and turn the diffuser off as soon as the water evaporates.

Wax Melts

An amazing new addition to the world of fragrances has been the wax melts! They are super fun to use and pretty to look at. The best thing about these is that they are mess free and can solve the burning problem of the diffuser tray. Wax melts are small pieces made of fragranced wax which are to be kept in the diffuser tray whenever you want to add fragrance in the room using a diffuser. They are relatively simple to use. You could put a few pieces of wax melts into the diffuser tray and switch on the diffuser like you normally would. You do not need to mix any water with these melts. These stay way longer in the tray which prevents burning while giving more fragrance as they last much longer than fragranced essential oil water. This also makes the wax melts a cost effective option.

Reed Diffusers

We also have reed diffusers which are for people who want absolutely no hassle in their life and want to fragrance the effortless way. Reeds absorb the fragrance oil and then naturally disperse it in its surrounding areas. Reed diffusers are quite simple to use. All you have to do is place the reed sticks in the provided fragrance jar. You would also need to flip the reeds every two to three days so that newly absorbed oil can flow in the air and spread the fragrance.

Air Freshner Sprays

One way of introducing fragrances into your space is by using air freshener sprays. There are multiple brands available in the market and they offer so many different types of fragrances which you can choose as per your needs and liking ! Using an air freshener spray is one of the easiest ways to get rid of any unwanted smell. It also shows the quickest dispersion of fragrance. It always shows immediate effect. The downside is that it doesn’t last long. So it is not a long term solution for the problem.

Another common way to go are fragrance pockets and gel based blocks. These are effective only for small places like washrooms and cars. But these are extremely easy to use. All you have to do is put it somewhere where it’s not disturbed. It’s as easy as opening a bag of chips. Place it at any convenient spot and you are good to go. These need replacement every 20 to 30 days depending on their size and quality and are available in various refreshing variants.

Last but not the least we have everyone’s favorite- the scented candles !

These are the most popular for a reason. Scented candles have made their place in the hearts of the public. Carefully curated scented candles are a blessing ! They can help you in so many different ways. First and the most obvious reason to burn a scented candle is for its fragrance.

Direct heat makes sure that the scent travels fast and effectively. Candles are also aesthetically pleasing and can lift the mood of an entire setting. Scented candles are also known to have healing properties and they are a great way to practice meditation as well as build focus. Nowadays many blends of fragrances are easily available and with so many options you would definitely find a fragrance that you instantly connect with.
